OPI - Muppets Most Wanted Collection Swatches

I've been a fan of the Muppets for as long as I could remember.  Growing up watching the Muppets was always one of my favorite things to do as a child.  With that being said, I was excited for this OPI release of The Muppets Most Wanted Collection.  Right off the bat I told myself I was going to get the entire collection but after reviewing the collection very carefully and I do mean carefully, I decided to get only five out of the eight.

These five colors which includes two cremes and three glitters are absolutely stunning.  The other three in the collection included a pearlescent shade and two duochromatic shades.

First up is I Love Applause.  A really gorgeous pastel pink.  This color makes me feel so girly.  Its pretty sheer when applying so I first used a white base color and then used two thin layers of this gorgeous pink.

Next is Let's Do Anything We Want.  This glitter topper includes white and pink micro glitters and white square glitters.  I did have to do a little fishing for the white squares.

I layered two coats over I Love Applause.

Chillin' Like A Villian is a pastel orange creme.  It reminds me of orange sorbet ice cream.  Absolutely gorgeous.  This too was pretty sheer so I applied two coats over a white base color.

The next glitter topper is called Gaining Mole-mentum and its a funky one but in a good way.  It is a mixture of cut up glitter pieces in various colors.

Below I applied two coats over Chillen' Like A Villian.

I saved the last glitter, which in my opinion is the best out of the entire collection, for last.  This is Muppets World Tour and is probably my favorite glitter on the market today.

This is three coats with nothing under and wow! Absolutely stunning. It applied very easy.  I used it as a full coverage glitter but I am sure it will make a great glitter topper as well.

I was really impressed with this collection.  I am a glitter fanatic and these glitters blew me away.  I cant really pick a favorite because I really enjoyed all five of them.  Maybe I will consider giving the other three a try but for now I am very content with these.

Orly Blush Collection Swatches

Okay guys I was excited about this collection.  Orly is one of my favorite brands and when I first saw these colors in the collection, I just fell in love. I was really hoping these colors would not disappoint me and I'm glad to say, they did not!

Naked Canvas is an off white shimmer with hues of purple.  It photographs more white and the purple hues were impossible to photograph but trust me, its there.  This is a beautiful base color for some nice nail art.  For this I used two thin coats.

Dare to Bare is a nude creme.  I'm pretty sure its pretty similar to other nudes that I have but needless to say, it applied beautifully so I was happy.  This is two thin coats.

Flawless Flush is a light purple shimmer with hues of gold.  Love this one.  Impossible to capture the true beauty of this one under my natural light (you would think it would shine perfectly in natural light) but again its absolutely beautiful in person. I used two thin coats.

Classic Contours is a dark nude purple creme.  Again this one reminds me of some of the other dark nudes I have so its not too original.  I used two thin coats for this one.

Cheeky is what can I say....AMAZING!.  I am so in love with this one.  Most definitely my favorite out of the collection.  This orange shimmer with gold hues is going to be a favorite for summer. It took three thin coats to get full coverage.

Lastly, First Blush is a dark pink creme that applied like a charm.  For this I used two thin coats.

Overall I was pretty happy with these colors.  Ive waited so long for them and they definitely made every second well worth it!

Essie Hide & Go Chic Spring 2014 Swatches

I'll admit my Essie nail polish collection is pretty small so I was excited to get my hands on the Spring collection.  I absolutely adore these colors.  So with that being said, I hope you enjoy these swatches.

Hide & Go Chic is a gorgeous rich blue. I am normally not a fan of blues but I really enjoy this shade of blue.  This is two thin coats.

Fashion Playground is a gorgeous mint green with a little shimmer.  I was a little disappointed with this one because it was a bit streaky.  The color is beautiful but the application of it was a headache.  This is two thin coats.

Romper Room is a very girly pale pink.  I can be pretty tomboyish at times but this one is my favorite out of the collection.  This is two thin coats.

Spin The Bottle is a sheer nude.  I love the way it looks against my skin tone.  For this I used two thin coats.

Style Hunter is a deep dark pink.  Actually for me it is borderline red.  It was a little bit of a challenge to apply, just for the simple fact that I did not want any to get on my cuticles because it was a bit staining.  For this I used two thin coats.

Last one of the collection is Truth or Flare.  It reminds me of a vintage pair of blue jeans.  This was my second favorite of the collection.  For this I used two thin coats.

I was pretty happy with the color selection of this collection.  As I was swatching them, I was already thinking of ideas to do with them.  I do not know why I was never a big Essie fan before, but I will definitely be keeping my eye out for future Essie releases.
